The Dealership has been located on Chapala Street since January of 1958. Until 1968 it also included the familiar brand Porsche. In 1958 you could buy a VW Bug for $1675 and a Porsche Speedster for $3295!
The original owner, Mr. Van Wyk, passed in 1964 and his son Gary became the Principal Dealer at only 28 years of age. In 1972 the dealership included the French brands Peugeot and Renault and later Mazda. The Peugeot and Renault were not popular in the American market and Gary Van Wyk decided to discontinue selling the Peugeot and Renault brands in 1976. In 1989 Gary Van Wyk decided to sell the Dealership to Don Valley.
In 1999, due to the amazing growth and popularity of the VW brand, the dealership dedicated itself to the single franchise of Volkswagen as we know it today.
